    Hi All

I have just finished offlining a project using Blackmagic DV NTSC codec. I want to online it at HD quality. We will be playing the final piece onto the Panasonic HD-DVC PRO 720 29.97.

Half my rushes are shot on HD-DVCPRO 720P and the rest consists of HDV 1080 60i, Beta, Digi Beta and Mini DV.

Is it best to re-capture the footage via firewire using DVCPROHD 720P 30
or HD-SDI using Blackmagic HDTV 10bit. I have tried firewire but I find the final cut pro is being very hit and miss at finding the deck and also at finding the in-point. It frequently spools right past it.

Also i am not sure about the sequence setting. If i have it set to a dvcpro setting then it does not play out to the apple cinema display (do i have to play it though the deck?) and the frame size is 960 x 720. however it does work if i set the sequence to Blackmagic HDTV 720p 29.97. I believe using the native dvcpro codec is better but is that correct?

    Thanks

    Zee
