  advice on double system workflows

  Hello –

  In pre-planing for an upcoming doc, to be shot double system and I’ve never done an edit with audio recorded separately ( an HD shoot, probably SD900 varicam + smaller sony, audio probably on Sound Devices CF recorder or similar / wav files w/TC )

  Curious how folks feel about the pros and cons of various syncing scenarios: ie, tc transmitted from recorder to audio ch on camera ( can FCP detect this? via plug-in?) OR cameras jammed with a Lockit box or similar, OR smart slating everything and manually syncing, OR whatever other workflows folks prefer and suggest given the opportunity.

  Final delivery most probably US broadcast…
