    Hello all,

I am shooting a concert / road doc with a 4 person folky string band (cello, drums, banjo, voice, and other instruments) mid April. Most of the shooting will happen in a car, and on location at the concerts (coffee shops, bars, small venues, etc.) What do I need to know / include in my budget proposal? I have the following:

    HVR-Z1U
    Shotgun
    Wireless Lav
    Tripod

    I think I want:

VZ S2010 Series On-camera LED light

What else? There will be a decent amount of behind-the-scenes interviews, driving shots, concert footage, etc. What are some recommendations for lighting? This band often plays in low lit areas, often with no mics, no sound system / amplification. Any suggestions on audio will be helpful as well.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks.

A neck brace… only kidding 🙂 a sound recordist would be good,or you run the risk of having good footage made redundant due to bad sound.
