Advice for exporting to DVD for playback in India.
Hi there,
I have a customer interested in a video being shot here but for playback via DVD in India. I understand India is PAL and I know I will be shooting NTSC (AVCHD). I hear most players in India can play/convert both PAL and NTSC but don’t know this for sure. So my questions are:
1. Is it easy to convert NTSC to PAL?
2. Should any PAL dvd be playable in India (I believe Encore can burn region-free disks)?Thanks!

All PAL players will play NTSC discs. Just send a region free NTSC disc and you’ll be fine

You say ‘all PAL players’, is there some reference on that? I routinely do both NTSC and PAL versions for projects. I expect you are right, but wondered if there is some reference for this that I can give to e.g. project manager or clients?
