    Hello,

I’m trying to use advanced lightning in the following manner: I am doing an abstract kind of “tree-veins” thing, and I am trying to make the lightning grow slowly. I’ve followed an old tutorial by Mark Simpson,

    https://library.creativecow.net/articles/simpson_mark/growing_tree.php

which I was hoping would show me how to make the “tree” grow. Well, as long as you keep the tree fairly simple without a lot of forking, his technique works great (animating the decay). But in my case, where I want a lot of forking, I’m encountering a problem: When the growing of the tree is almost done, some of the forks/branches pop away! I’ve played with all the settings, but I can’t seem to make it just grow and stop growing without some branches popping away. Any ideas what I can do?

    Kind regards,
    Eric
