Has anyone ever figured out a way to get the Pyro AV Link to work with Avid xpress HD? I’ve tried and tried and can only get the “no input signal present” every time.

Please let me know if someone knows the secret. It takes way too long to capture with a third party program, then import avi files into Avid.

I have had issues with firewire devices sometimes connecting properly. I would try this:

Thanks JB. I’ll definitely try that. It figures that could be it as I just had a similar problem with my desktop and that AV link. For whatever reason it only works on a certain firewire port and not the port that the firewire drive is usually hooked up to. Weird, really weird.

Thanks again! I’ll see what she does after I switch it around.

That still didn’t do it. I moved my cable around to every different firewire port available (2 on the express card and one built in port) and it still kept giving me the same error. Really weird. DV Capture, Ulead and other programs see it, just not stupid Avid. AGH!!
