    Hi Folks,

I want to know if this is possible? If so what will I need to do?

I’ve got about 300 gig’s of footage that was captured on a Final Cut Pro System. The client has caputured all the footage for us to use.–It’s all DVCAM footage.

Now is this possible to import the FCP footage into my Avid? What would I need to do? The Adrenaline system is PC based.

    Any info would be great.
    Thanks!

You might pop over to the Automatic Duck forum https://forums.creativecow.net/cgi-bin/new_view_posts.cgi?forumid=116 and run your questions by Wes Plate. Haven’t tried this myself, but if anyone can answer your questions, it’s him…

You should have no problems – just import the footage into your Avid project with the settings you want – just like any other footage.

On thing you will need to make sure of is that your PC can read your Mac Drive.

If it was formatted as PC Fat32 you should have no problem, other than a 4GB file size limit on that type of a drive. If your harddrive was formatted as a MAC drive you will need to purchase a copy of Macdrive or similar software that allows a PC to see a MAC formatted external drive.

    Best,

    Dan
