When capturing video I get little ‘dots’ of pixels where the image is blurred – particularly if the image is very busy. It happens from any source (BetaSP, DigiBeta, DVCam), any input (Component, SDI, DV) and at all resolutions. Many ‘dots’ appear on very complex images. Any ideas?

your seeing complex images in little dots?
    that pretty heavy, man.

how are your video levels? You’ll get artifacts with anything over 100ire. Is it on your NTSC monitor/output as well or just the composer window? I always see hooha in the composer window that doesn’t live to tape.

    Thanks,

I see the ‘dots’ on bright parts of images (over/around 100IRE) and on complex parts of images (tight lines, lots of color). It does end up on tape. Any ideas?

WILLIAM 909. WERE YOU ABLE TO CORRECT THE PIXEL PROBLEM YOU WERE HAVING WITH YOUR ADRENALINE? I AM EXPERIENCING SOMETHING SIMILAR AND IT HAS ME STUMPED.

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THIS PROBLEM BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

    THANKS
