They sure do make it hard to keep from updating, but the last 3 major updates kept me troubleshooting bugs for weeks until the fixes were released. If Adobe paid me to test their software, I’d be more inclined to update quickly.

First of all, can’t they afford a thru the lens prompter for their Demo guy? I mean how pathetic is that.

Next, half the demo is about VR sound mixing, and really, who cares? Who’s paying the mortgage cutting VR? Anyone, anyone … Bueller …

Finally the good stuff. New title tool, for those who hated the old one. Seems like a more advanced feature set, but it still doesn’t do anything to handle credit rolls, so I’m still not happy (am I ever?).

Ppro copies FCPX rigging, with the advantage that it’s handled by AE instead of Motion.

New audio panel, bringing in Audition’s automated sound processing. To me this and the AE rigging are the big items. Seems very useful.

More Team Projects stuff — looks like it would be useful if any of my clients are actually gonna buy the license. I’ll not hold my breath on that.

Nothing mentioned about minor tweaks to timeline editing, so I guess all the annoying stuff will keep being annoying for another year, while they work on Adobe Stock, VR, and other new features that most could care less about. How about being able to delete multiple transitions at one time Adobe, how about something useful like that?

Oh, by the way, with this release there is no option to maintain an older version of Ppro because somehow they consider this release a “patch” and not a new version. How lame is that?

    Now back to work.

This update dropped literally while I was on set for a new project. As the decks were already cleared for this one, I downloaded the whole kit and am diving in. Fortunately, this gig is not that time sensitive so I can afford a bug or two in the short term. So far so good.

I am really not that impressed myself. Having said that I fear that there will be even more bugs and that really bugs me : (
