  • Adobe software update won’t update – Turn off DynamicLinkManager?

Posted by David Ethridge on December 23, 2011 at 10:55 pm

When I go to HELP in any of my Adobe software and select UPDATE for software update it starts to update great but, then stops because it wants me to close DYNAMICELINKMANAGER.
Its not open anywhere but, it won’t continue the update till I close it on my MacPro running Lion.
Where do I turn this off?

Close the app you updating from.

Went through the same thing yesterday. Open Activity Monitor and quit the application. It’s not ‘dynamiclink manager’ as the updater lists it, but called Adobe ….. something, can’t remember. Once I opened Activity Monitor and quit it, the update happened.

LAME, I have quit everything in the activity monitor and nothing is fixing my problem, once I quit the update app I can’t update…

I am really hating CS6 its corrupting all my project files seriously wasted a week.

I had the same problem and the same fix… I turned off Adobe CEF Helper in the Activity monitor, and when I retried the update it went ahead no probs.
