Adobe Premiere Pro: Horrible sound when exporting a sequence
Hi, I am having a big sound issue when exporting a sequence in Premiere Pro. Im editing a skateboarding video and I get a very loud scratchy noise on clips where you can here the skateboard wheels on the concrete. So it seems to be happening on clips with more treble. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Are your mixer meters hitting the red ?

Vincent is on target. Clipped audio often sounds fine when previewed from Pro, but awfull when played in the clients player.

I’ll second Mike’s statement. I usually need to decrease audio in the timeline. Play your timeline with the audio meter palate open. If it’s peaking above -6, or ‘redlining’ as I call it, you’re going to have problems with the finished DVD. Try to adjust your audio level so it averages between -12 and -6 on the meters, peaking not much more than -6. I find that DVD authoring software such as Encore DVD seems to boost the audio a little. What is fine in the PPro timeline is often much louder on the final DVD.
