September 13, 2011 at 5:24 pmI’m also waiting for Adobe to fix the Nikon issue before switching. That said, I also appreciate the excellent communication here and on the Adobe Premiere FaceBook page. The fact that Adobe is listening, issuing bug fixes, working w/3rd Party vendors, and aquiring assets that will make their way into their Video App’s suite is very encouraging.
P.S. Would love to see Adobe include Muse in their next PP package.

This is NOT fixed either. Still cannot use under Lion, as the project gets corrupted when this happens.

September 14, 2011 at 1:06 amYou might want to do a re-install first.
Are disk permissions repaired too?
Worst case scenario would be to run the adobe cleaner tool to remove all files related to CS5.5 install an effectively reinstall from a clean standpoint.

It appears the Timecode overlay fix is not on the list and I can confirm it still isn’t working….
Out of curiosity, is this an infrequently requested feature? I don’t think a single edit has left here in a draft stage from FCP6-7 without a Timecode Reader overlay (sometimes multiple overlays TCR and TCG).
Other than that, I’ve found 5.5.1 to be massively improved with MXO2 performance and an overall good increase in stability. So here’s to hoping Adobe keeps listening….

September 16, 2011 at 2:07 amHey Petros,
Can you start or point to another thread regarding the Timecode issue you face. i use BITC for clients all the time so I might be able to help here.
But make a thread so others can find the info/solution easier.
Cheers JB

September 16, 2011 at 2:13 amWasn’t Timecode burn in listed as a non-working Lion issue – works fine under 10.6.8 but it was in Adobe’s original list of Lion issues… I’m not sure a new thread needs to be made:

I was just surprised it wasn’t on the fix list and still doesn’t work under 10.7.1/5.5.1

September 16, 2011 at 4:00 amThe Timecode overlay is still broken on Lion.
For Lion, Apple completely changed the way that overlays of all sorts needed to be implemented, and we have to fix each individually.

I’m sure you fine folks will eventually get it sorted. It hasn’t stopped the Premiere train from rolling on in our little shop. Premiere Pro worked for about 10 hours without a crash today – it did eventually crash, but 10 hours is pretty spectacular in this day and age; I’m also pretty sure it was the Matrox player that eventually dragged it down…
So despite continuing little issues, thanks for all the hard work.

September 16, 2011 at 4:08 amRight. Just getting upto speed. Haven’t updated my Mac OS yet. Tend to have a if it works don’t fix it policy with OS upgrades. Waiting until at least it’s been around for a while and known to be completely stable with Adobe and “Other” products.
Tend to be doing the work on the PC more these days anyway. 🙂
