    I’ve tried them both but can’t seem to find any great flaws or strong points in either of them…

    Although Vegas seems to handle HDV footage better, Premiere seems to be more organized.

    Can anyone list me the pros/cons or tell me which NLE is better for professional video editing (HDV, HD, etc)? I want to edit on the software that is going to get me the highest quality output possible.

    They should both provide the same quality output. Although I believe that Vegas uses the Cineform ntermediate codec, which I like. I paid extra to have that capability with Adobe. It is easier to use Premiere Pro with the rest of the Adobe products.

    Toss a coin. Or, rather, pick the one that “feels better” to the way you like to edit.
