Hallo, i have to buy a notebook for a short job. I have found an HP notebook with a Turion X2 CPU, that’s enought for me. I think to install Premiere CS3 for a job, and then i will use the laptop for generic purposes.

I would ask if this CPU is compatibile with Premiere CS3. I have found only Dual core Intel CPU on the Adobe web pages specifics.

    Thanks to all

I think I researched this before I bought my Turion 64 dual core ..I think it’s a 2gig. CS3 ran OK during the trial period aside from a couple of the usual crashes.

I remember this being a real pain to research but the info is on the Premiere website somewhere I believe.

Double check because my memory is fuzzy.

If you think you’re going to edit HDV on a Turion you might be disappointed there as well but again I have not tried that yet. I heard you need a Core 2 Duo.

Good luck. The HP is a cheap computer but it works OK for standard def DV.
