Adobe Premiere Preview Rendering
Hi,
I’m somewhat of a new editor, and I’m trying to compile a video from different clips all encoded in different formats (mostly XVid, DivX and MPG4). My problem is, when I add such a clip to my project and then try to preview it by pressing enter, the rendering stops at certain clips. I have checked the codecs and I am able to play them seporately, I have even tried rerendering them as mpg’s with a 3rd party tool, but it will not play or render in Premiere Pro. The clips I’m haveing trouble with are usually MPG4’s, but I have installed, removed and reinstalled several versions of this codec, so I don’t see how this can be the problem. Furthermore, Premiere is lagging quite a lot. I have to wait a few minutes for it to stop after I cancel the preview rendering. I was able to freely render [as previews] before, and I have a modern system so I’m wondering what the problem could be? Any assistance would be great! By the way, I’m running in a ‘Clean’ environment, no background tasks other than necissary.Tim
