Adobe Premiere Fix Tape Glitch
I have a copy of film footage. Unfortunately I do not have the original source footage, just a copy. Apparently when the copy was made there was a tape glitch effect that appears briefly in several different scenes. I need to fix this, how do I do it?

When I have to deal with a tape glitch, I edit it out and close the gap. If it is only a frame or two, most people will not notice. If it is longer than say 4 frames, you will have a noticeable jump. Either cover with b-roll, or cut out more than a second and do a dissolve, making sure the dissolve does not go into the glitch.
In the future, may i suggest the Premiere or Art of the Edit forum.

Thank you so much Mike Cohen! There’s no B roll unfortunately, however editing out the glitch and closing the gap if it’s only a frame or two, sounds like a great idea. As well, cutting out more than a second and doing a dissolve making sure the dissolve does not go into the glitch, also sounds like a winner.
Will certainly attempt to give this fix solution a try, however I may need just a tad bit more insight in walking through this process.
