June 16, 2014 at 3:56 pmGosh that’s so easy even I can answer that… well first you have to download the video from YouTube.. You most likely need a program or plugin for your browser… Google “Youtube Downloader” and you should get some results. If you’re using firefox and a mac (like me) there is a plugin that works nicely that gives you file options on your download – like 360p Mp4 or 720p Mp4 or 240p Flv… Install the program then down load the file, then import the file as you would any other file in Premiere.

June 17, 2014 at 12:20 pmDid you download an mp4 or an FLV?
Is this a trial version of Premiere Pro? Did you activate it?

June 17, 2014 at 1:35 pmYou cannot just change, the file extension, friend. YOu would have to convert the file using Adobe Media Encoder or similar software.
You should easily be able to pull down the YouTube video in MP4 format in most cases. This file should drop into a Premiere Pro timeline without difficulty.
Give more information about the steps you are taking, and the computer system on which you are operating.

June 17, 2014 at 2:11 pmYes in 5 and pro it works but in cs6 I cant. It keeps saying ‘there was an error decompressing audio or video.’when I try to import.
