  • Adobe Premiere CS 5 DVCPRO 30p sequence settings?

Posted by John Johnston on February 19, 2014 at 5:15 pm

    Hi!

Just shot a project on DVCPROHD 720p30 and found no sequence setting in Premiere that matched.

Should I use the DVCPROHD 720p60?

    Thanks!

You could start with that setting and revise it, making a custom one for you.

Hi and thank you for your reply. I saw the custom option but it is grey’d out…is there a trick to that? Because it makes me nervous having double the frames in my sequence.

I just took a look in FCP and when i selected DVCPROHD 720p30 as my sequence setting then imported my footage into the timeline FC changed it to the native compression @ DVCPROHD 720p60. When I forced it to stay at 720p30 it required rendering; so maybe that is why Adobe doesn’t have that setting.

Anyhow I am committed to Premiere now and hopefully it will not have any quality issues…

    Thanks again for your reply!
