Adobe Premiere CC 2014 audio dropout and lag issues
Okay so, I’ve been dealing with some rather obnoxious issues since updating to the newest version of Adobe Premiere CC. Let me start off by saying that I’ve tried contacting adobe multiple times now about these issues and their customer support has been almost no help in solving the issue. I either get disconnected before anything is resolved or just get a slew of being re-told what my issues are.
So with that said, I just recently built a new system as my last one was on it’s way out (5 year old pre-built machine with a dedicated card, surprised it lasted as long as it did). The specs on the new machine are as follows:
AMD FX – 8320 Eight-Core Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard
Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB 3.5″ 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
8gb of ramIt’s not the most powerful machine in the world but it’s better than what I was working with before.
Since getting the updated version of Premiere CC, I’ve been having issues regarding audio dropouts left and right as well as laggy playback and overall usage of the timeline. Everything feels sluggish, more than it should on a newer machine. And to be clear, all of these issues are on a project previously started from the 2013 version of CC that was converted for 2014.
I’ve read that others were having similar issues so I was hoping to get some insight on this, and hopefully a solution. Thanks.
