    I put in a clip into the timeline on Abobe Premier Pro CS4. The red bar appears on the top. So I render it and it starts processing. BUt after it is done rendering the red bar is still their and the clip in the timeline still acts like it’s un-rendered.

    Any suggestions?

    What are your sequence settings? What are the properties of the video?

    now it does not even complete the render. The render que freezes and crashes premier pro. THe files are .MTS. and my sequence setting are,

    Editing mode: AVCHD 1080p pixel
    timebase 23.976 frames/second

    VIDEO
    Frame size: 1920 horizontal 1080 vertical 16:9
    Pixel: Aspect ratio Square pixels (1.0)
    Field: no fields (progressive scan
    Display Format: 24fps Timecode

    AUDIO
    Sample rate: 48000 Hz
    Display Format: Audio Samples

    VIDEO PREVIEWS
    Preview File Format: I-Frame Only MPEG
    Codec: MPEG I-Frame
    Maximum Bit depth — UNCHECKED
