  Adobe Premier Pro 1.0 question

  Hi,
  I’m new to APP 1.0 and would like to ask a editing question. In my book that I have, it shows editing with both respective monitors for the purpose of “three point editing” and general setting for in and out of clips. Now, the training video that I have shows most all of the edits being done on the Timeline. Is working with the two monitors what is called A/B editing? And which is more efficient than the other? Or do they both have there place in editing? I have used Roxio 7.0 and Pinnacle 10.5 in the past,so this is new to me. Thanks in advance.
