Adobe Prem 6.5 crashing under heavy workload
Hey guys, any help would be much appreciated,
I’m in the middle of making a snowboard video on adobe premiere 6.5. I probably made some mistakes earlier on but this is what I’ve done… I captured all of my tapes (about 10 tapes totalling about 150GB) to my external hard drive (500GB) then i cut out all the clips I wanted from these tapes and pasted them into several new bins i had created so they would be easier to sort. This has resulted in a huge amount of data, I thought that when i had created these clips i could delete the original captured films and save some space. However it seems i cant do this, when i try and delete the original films from “Bin1” the clips i’ve cut from them disappear also. Adobe has now begun crashing, especially whilst scrolling through the films in Bin1. Is there any way i can reduce the amount of work adobe is doing? Recapturing just the clips that i want to use would be a massive job that would make me cry. Any help would be awesome.
Cheers
