Sounds like the application is crashing or the user interface is being stopped.

First check to see if Premier is still active by looking at the Application list in Task Manager. If so, see if it will let you switch back to the application by selecting it from the list and clicking Switch To.

If Premier is not running it is most likely a process or driver that is shutting down the main application service.

Has something been recently installed? Updated?

If using antivirus software, try stopping it, re-launching Premier and see if the problem repeats.

For a period I found Norton Antivirus preventing my machine from capturing reliably even though realtime scanning was disabled. As long as Norton isn’t running all works normally.

What chipset does your MoBo use? The storm2 with AP6.5 is usually stable.
