  • Adobe Photoshop touch interface shows the way for FCP?

    Here’s a good overview

    https://m.gizmodo.com//5790662/these-are-the-first-three-adobe-photoshop-touch-apps

    A few things:

    1) timing is notable (although I’m sure they planned this before Apple got the Supermeet organised – right?)
    2) it’s open with an SDK. Throws down a gauntlet on Apple’s own turf.
    3) It’s still PRO.

I think that last one’s the important one. People get uppity when discussing iOS and new FCP, implying it means iMovie. . On the week the iPad was announced, I commented on here I’d like a smart interface for FCP on it, context sensitive with things like fader control (which I now have an app for) and colour correction (yup – app) amongst others – imagine lassooing on the timeline or selecting tools with an iPad.

Fact is, using an iPad to control faders has been a part of my FCP daily use for 6 months, as basic as it is. I cannot WAIT to see what Apple do with it.
