Getting a little frustrated with CS4s Media encoder.
Currently I am having problem trying to export a 4 min sequence as an uncompressed AVI to grade in AE.
Exporting from Prem, media encoder launches, once the start queue button is hit ME sits (has been left to sit all night) and ‘not responding’ appears if program is selected.
Have attempted to export the audio separately and tried all combination’s of export formats with no luck.
Have copied & created new prem projects on separate drives, copied the entire project over to another computer but it is having the same problem, ‘not responding’

I exported Bars & tone from the same project with the same settings to test to see if media encoder still worked and it exported fine.

I take it there must be a problem with my project..?

The project was set up as a PAL HDV 1080i, the main source footage is captured HDV mpeg and there are clips that have been imported from AE that are uncompressed AVIs.. This is usually how our projects are, this is the first that has caused major dramas.

Is it the project or Media encoder?

    Any ideas?

Have you rendered the timeline before you tried to export it?
