Adobe Media Encoder and FlipHD footage glitch
Wasn’t sure where to post this, so please point me in the right direction if this is the incorrect forum.
We have some staff that have been using a Flip HD camcorder recently to do some basic field filming. If they give me the mp4 file, I can convert it to whatever using AME without any issue. The Flip cameras have a feature that allows the user to add music to a video clip by just using the built in (actually in the camera for anyone unfamiliar with the device) editing software, then output an mp4 file. I’m finding that the clips with music added, when loaded into AME, double in length. The clips that are straight from the camera without music have no problems. The music seems to play at normal speed after encoding, however the video is playing at half speed. When looking at the preview window inside AME, the length on the timeline reads as double. Note that the mp4 file plays without any problems before loading it into AME. Anyone have any thoughts?
