    Hey all –

I have recently been having trouble with Media Encoder failing when rendering out a film. I have never had trouble before, it has always run rock solid on my system.

I am exporting a finished version of a movie – so the timeline is relatively simple. 1 track of video – all prores, no fades – and one track of mixed-down audio. Then, there’s premiere titles, and also a layer of AE dynamic linked subtitles stretched over the whole thing. I think this is what’s giving me the issue.

The problem is that whenever I export this timeline, no matter what format I go to, AME fails. However, when I simply duplicate the failed item in the queue and start again, everything goes without a hitch.=

This is the only timeline / file that is doing this, and I have tried re-exporting from premiere many different times.

If this was just a simple bug… okay… but why does it always work flawlessly the second time?!?

Where are you exporting to and in what format? I’ve had the AME baa at me if I try to export high bitrate stuff to a drive that can’t keep up with it eg. a network drive.

It baaas at me if I export low bitrate stuff (mp4) or high bitrate (DNxHD). It is related to the source media, not the end codec.

So, this problem is frustrating to me because although I know what is creating the problem (the AE dynamic link), it ALWAYS WORKS THE SECOND TIME I TRY. So… there is some way to do this right… just need to figure out how to get it right the first time.
