In reading this board all week, it seems the old adage comes to mind again:

You can’t please everyone all the time.

Granted many new features we all have been wanting appear to have happened, taking Premiere Pro closer to some of the other pro software out there.

But most of the posts seem to be things that don’t work, used to work differently, or features that “pros” should have, based upon other “pro” software. And some basic usability features that should have been introduced are also absent.

    Has Adobe screwed up?

    Does Adobe care?

Just hoping the good folks at Adobe will take note of the complaints and positive feedback alike for the 2.5 release.

While I have not paid my $199 yet for the upgrade, I probably will soon. That PDF video feature sounds sweet.

[Mike Cohen] “Has Adobe screwed up?”

No, I don’t think so. The new features are great. There are many things I would like to have seen addressed. But as you said,

They couldn’t go wrong there. I’ll tell them to call.

Any Idea on “Soon” ? I mean rough guess…. 1 week, 30 days.. I will definitely be upgrading my collection, but can’t afford to jump just yet, and going to the Seminar they are having on the 7th in San Francisco, and just might win one 🙂

Your wish has been granted 😀 Trial versions of Premiere Pro, After Effects, Encore and Audition are now available.

    Thanks Aanarav,

Been checking daily. Just went to the Adobe site, and downloading AE 7, however didn’t see anything for either Encore or P Pro, even refreshed my pages a couple of times. Is is possible I am missing something somehow?

    Thanks,
    Ken
