    Hello!
I am a professional designer who has been working with Illustrator since version 1.0! I had a question about the live paint feature and I’m hoping someone can help me out.
While I love the new feature I am concerned that objects created with it will print with gaps on a professional grade press. My concern stems from the fact that none of the objects created with live paint overlap! As we all know, not overlapping objects is a cardinal sin in Illustrator:)
So, do I have need for concern or is overlap created in some printing dialog box somewhere or handled on the printers end?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

I’ve used live paint for production and haven’t had a problem with gapping objects. Illustrator does a good job of snapping paths together, no need to worry. If you’re worried about gaps, lay a block of color behind the art, just a suggestion.

    Thanks For the Help
