Is it just me or is anyone else getting, very frequent, update notices? I keep wondering if this is legit or not. Attached is a screen shot of what I’ve been receiving multiple times over the past few month.

    Thanks.

No, they are just phishing forays and attempts to get you to click them. Ignore them.

    Hi Ron,

Sorry to bother you again but that “Phish” is starting to bug me several times a day. Before I wrote about it I “did” click on it, can’t remember if it was only once. I’ve done the “repaired permissions” and “verify disks” and all came back OK. Don’t know if that did any good but it’s all I know how to do.

Am I a lost cause, or is there something I can do to make it go away?

As always, thanks for your input.

Probably because you clicked on the link, they now know it’s a good address and they want you. You might want to create a rule in your mail system to route them all to the trash.

Unfortunately these are not emails. They are pop ups and won’t go away unless you click the red quit button. They haven’t been full screen pop ups until lately.

You may want to run a virus tool or somesuch and see if it shows as malware.
