Adobe Encore Style Library has Phantom Sets
-
Michael Nolting
February 18, 2021 at 3:20 amI just went through a monumental restoration of Adobe Encore on a laptop that I had to “Downgrade” to Mohave because I was stupid and updated my main iMac to Big Sur.
Luckily, I have on my old 2005 iMac Adobe Encore CS5.5 (Close enough!) and I brought over my old library.
To preserve what I have on my “New” laptop I renamed all of the “sets” which are folders of the same names but “2” added to the folder name. EG: “Corporate” to “Corporate 2”
Now when I go to my library in Encore I see all of the same sets twice, one with the original name and one with the same name but with “2” added to the name. EG “Corporate” and “Corporate 2”
OK, so far, so good. I then verified that each folder *(without the “2”) had all of the files I needed. I then deleted all of the folders with the “2” added to the name. However, now, all of the folder names , which are “sets” are still in the drop down list in the Library spinner (however, nothing exists)
Close out Encore and restart does nothing. I added a new set (Folder) called “My Buttons and Menus” and that appears as a new set.
So where are these non existing sets coming from?????
Thanks
