Adobe Ease In/Ease Out vs. Vegas Keyframe Smoothness
Probably the most vexing thing for me has been the way Vegas seemed limited regarding motion graphics. Trying to create smooth exits and entrances of titles and lower thirds never seem as good as what Premiere or AE could do with it’s Ease In and Ease Out settings. And then last week I stumbled upon the Pan/Crop Smoothness setting. By turning it up to %100 I seem to get the very “elasticity” the Adobe gives users by default.
For my own edification I did some experimenting with the Smoothness setting and the various keyframe options (Linear, Fast, Slow, Smooth, Sharp, and Hold) and came up with this video as the result.
I’m curious to know how other editors may be using the Smoothness setting. Thanks.
