Adobe CS5 and NVidia Quadro CX
As someone just noted, last year for CS4, Adobe was promoting the NVidia Quadro CX. And purchasing an additional workstation from my superb supplier, BOXX, and taking their well informed recommendation, I ordered a new workstation with CX at an additional $1,500. So now, despite Adobe’s promotion of CX last year, its gone from support with CS5. I am tempted to say more, but I want to be able to remain on this site, and the blatent facts speak for themselves.

I find the Adobe site to be so deep and wide that it can be a bit of a journey to find what you need.
The CX board was based on the 4800 when it came out, so the configuration actually has you ready to go forward.
It was a good marketing effort to get out the idea of how much a strong GPU display card can help your workflow, but I think it ended up being a confusing message for some with the obvious departure from the rest of the Quadro line designations.
Anyway…Mercury will happily lean into your QuadroCX for effects preview, so you’re ahead of the pack.
