  • Adobe CS4 diabolical rendering quality for H.264 movs

Hi, I’m rendering out a project as a quicktime mov, 24fps, square pixels, progressive scan, hd using a h.264 format. However the render quality is diabolical. I could render this out on another computer in the lab no problem but on my own computer the render quality just isn’t there. I don’t know why this is.My project contains quicktime animation codec movs which are referenced off a Toshiba HDD. I have an nvidia geforce graphics card and I7 processor on my laptop. I no longer have access to the lab pcs as my course has finished so I’m using my other desktop pc which is pretty old. Same problem when I tried to render out the project on it though. I’m using CS4 on both machines. The lab PCs used CS5. I think its a setting somewhere in the software that could be causing this.

    I John,

Can you list the details on your export settings?

I should note its not just h.264 thats affected. If render out the project in the animation codec I get faint white streaks across the image.
