The Problem:
The problem is i can be doing anything in the timeline, sitting idle, skimming through the track, zooming in or ou, moving audio over or even dropping a clip into the timeline, it randomly crashes. Somtimes after i reopen it and do the same thing it crashes again, somtimes it wont!I dont loose all of my work, only the work i didnt save up until the crash. Its very annoying, the project is only 17 min long, and i have a feature film to edit this summer. However now the director is growing weary of me using my system and editing it because of these frequent crashes all of a sudden that started 1-2 weeks ago randomly, started editing in december.
1.layed down first cut (0 crashes)
2. copy/paste individual clips into AE for color correcting (as far as i remember 0 crashes..)
3. import audio to soundbooth to fix white noise, began notiing crashes (as far as i remember, rather hard to)—-
Project #2
however on the other side,
i just finished editing a 1h 20m dance concert video with 0 crashes. Didnt do any color correcting or audio fixing either.Im getting very worried and dont know what to do. Go out and upgrade CS4, or wait for CS5. I just cant handle these frequent random crashes, and the computer isnt running hot or anything. only programs that crash for me is premeiere and encore… I’ve gotton used to encore though, save after everything u do.. lol it always crashes.
Sorry for the long message i didnt want to leave anything out..
Any help will be appreciated on this.
JustinPS. Sorry for my horrible grammer errors..
