  • Adobe CC installer files to install in multiple systems

I got myself a CC subscription about a week ago. Downloaded creative cloud installer and PPro. Then, I went “What the heck…” and downloaded Speedgrade and Dreamweaver (for different things), and promised myself I’d take time to learn to use these.

Then, I thought I could do this at my work machine, and got another subscription for there too. Now, do I have to sit through the multi GB downloads all over again there, or is there a way to get installers from one system to another. Maybe a folder where CC installer looks for installers? Or, like FCPX and many other App Store apps, can one simply ‘transplant’ CC apps from one Mac to another?

All I’m trying is to avoid downloading multiple times in a place were the ‘net is in the 1-2 Mbps region (on a good day).

Unfortunately, Adobe has no way to make an installer portable at this point as far as I know.

The matter has been pointed out to Adobe though…that I know.

Ouch, this sucks! I have 20 installs to do!! Adobe really ought to think these things through.

Try to look at Creative Cloud Packager, it works for teams and entreprise customers:https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/packager/creative-cloud-packager.html

[Neil Sadwelkar] ” I thought I could do this at my work machine, and got another subscription for there too.”

Neil, you do realize that 1 subscription is good for 2 machine installs right?

it can be pc/pc mac/pc or mac/mac versions.

they can be on the same network too.

And you can deactivate / reactivate on more, correct?

Thanks for the link to the packager. But that’s for teams. In my case, I will still have to download all over again for my second licence.

And, I knew about the ability to install on two systems. I’ll use that feature on any new system I get in either home or office. But I’ll still have to download everything to that system. I guess its designed this way so that Adobe has an idea of how many times their software is being downloaded.

For private/single users You have to download for each machine.

Team users can use the packager to customize program packages, so the individual users just need to confirm their Adobe ID, and no extra downloads.

About licensing You’re allowed to install on Your primary and secondary machine (one user – two machines, NOT two individual persons).

You can activate /deactivate cloud licensing, and when You de-activate a license, next time the machine contact the Adobe server the license goes passive
