For clarification, do you mean a third hardware monitor (i.e. physical display), or another Premiere Pro monitor panel tied to the timeline (in addition to the Program Monitor and Reference Monitor)?

– Adding a third display depends on your OS and hardware. If the system supports three simultaneous video outputs, just undock Premiere Pro panels as desired and move them to the new monitor.

– I do not believe Premiere supports a third monitor panel for the active sequence beyond the Program Monitor and Reference Monitor.

Also, you can echo the program monitor in full screen on another connected display/televison by selecting | Edit | Preferences | Playback | and under “Video Device” enable the display you want to use for full-screen playback.

Thanks this what i was looking for. My graphic card doesnt support multiscreen but i purchased a couple of external video display cards and now can work with 3 displays. Two for premiere and one for the the secound progrsm monitor. in theory i can add 3 more.

You can use products like AJA, BlackMagic Design and Matrox to add a true video output from your premiere pro system. Depending on your configuration these can be internal cards or external boxes.

We feed a Flanders Scientific reference monitor from all of our Premiere Pro systems via AJA and BMD products.
