It’s been a while since I used the FRC plug-in in FCP, so forgive my question.

I am editing a project shot overcranked on the Varicam (at 60fps). It will be a 24fps timeline. I know how to apply the FRC to get the footage I need. The question is one of storage space.

As I recall, applying the FRC creates new speed-affected clips. Are those reference movies? Or self-contained? If self-contained, is there a good formula for determining my storage requirements?

    Thanks.

Possibly just answered my own question — I see now that there is a self-contained option in the FRC.
