Adjustment layer question

Not that I can tell but it’s a simple matter of precomposing to enhance the intended functions of adjustment layers.

hmmm, i guessed as much. For this particular job, precomping was just going to introduce more difficulties.
I was hoping someone knew of a sneaky way to tell a layer to ignore the adjustment without involving a pre-comp.
