Is it possible to adjust the controls of the Video Scopes in the log Capture window? I am not set up to bars on the tape in final cut. The sliders to do so are grayed out. any ideas?

If you are capturing via firewire, you are actually ingesting a data stream, so there are no video or audio levels to speak of. You’ll need to do your adjustments after the fact, or capture through an I/O card that allows for level adjustments.

You can’t do this if you are capturing via FireWire.

If you have certain brands of analog capture cards, they have the software for making the input controls operate in FCP.

Otherwise, you either need an outboard ProcAmp (or TBC) or just make your adjustment IN the FCP edit.

Echo, echo, echo!!! Don’t know about other cards but my Kona LH has controls for setup and a procamp built in. Plus I have control over audio levels.

    Have a wonderful day.

With Analog sources. But with SDI, you need to make the adjustments after you bring the footage in or you need to adjust at the Deck during Capture.
