  • Adjusting size to export video in the same original size

    Hello to everyone

I am new to Premier pro for Mac

I want to edit a Mp4 video that is 640×352 original size. When I drag this to the time line , is smaller than the viewer, you see black all around. I dont want to strectch de video to fit the viewer. If I do that the video is exported in 720 x 576

How can I exprt the video in its original size? and how can I adjust the viewer so I dont get the black space all around the video. In FC you adjust the sequence preset to fit the size of the video, But I am looking around premiere and I cant find a clue

Thanks a lot for your help, I truly appreciate it

You can make a custom sequence setting with framesize and frame rate of the file…look in help for “custom sequence setting”.

Or…you can drag the video clip over the “new sequence” widget on the bottom of the project panel and it should use the clip settings as the guide…

Thanks a lot , I got it and is working great my problem is now the fllowing

I am working with Mp4 video files and I want to export in the same format. When I export I select H.264 format, is that right? and I adjust the frame export size to the same original size, and this is in 16:9 format. But the exported file comes out in 4:3, Is this a common issue? how can I solve it?

Is this way of working the bet I can do to preserve the original quality of the mp4 files?

Thanks very much for your help Mr. Kolb
