I’ve been using PI for a number of years and one thing that still puzzles me is where is the correct place to adjust the emitter when setting the parameters?
eg. Using “Genie Smioke0”. This emitter has only one particle generator called Plumes. If I wanted to adjust the life of the particles where is the correct place to adjust it, on the root or plumes itself?

In that case it doesn’t matter.

If you look at an emitter that has more than one particle type, then the emitter-level properties apply to all particle types. For example, to adjust the size of ALL particles, use the emitter “size” property. Use the particle-type “size” if you just want to change one type.
