  • adjusting an effect on multiple layers?

Posted by Daniel Connell on February 8, 2006 at 5:45 am

I’ve got a brightness/contrast effect that I want to apply to about half a dozen layers, then animate having all layers using the same keys. I don’t want to have to do this by hand for each layer if it’s at all avoidable.

    thanks all

    Daniel.

doesn’t an ADJUSTMENT LAYER do the trick?

1 adj. layer above your layers – and keyframing the adjustement layer?

What about precomping them then applying the effect?

there’s a fantastic script at http://www.aeenhancers.com that will duplicate a layer’s effects and link them back to the original layer, so if you change it on the original layer, all the “child” effects change as well. brilliant!
