I’m new to 3D, but managed to create a cool flying logo for my company in Cinema 4D Lite. I made the comp 5 seconds originally in After Effects, followed a tutorial to create a new c4d project and extrude my logo, animated cameras, etc. Loving the end result.

I discovered after creating the flying logo that I need an additional 3 seconds of length. The frame rate in both AE and C4D is set to 30. I adjusted the comp size in AE from 5 seconds to 8 seconds, then went to C4D, lengthened my Project time, Maximum Time, and Preview Max Time from 150 frames to 240. (240 frames = 8 seconds x 30 frames)

It all worked like a charm in C4D, but after I saved the C4D project, my composition in After Effects remains five seconds. I’m not able to adjust the layer to a longer duration in the AE timeline.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I forgot to mention versions. I am using After Effects CC and Cinema 4D Lite R16.

Also, to clarify… it’s not that the COMPOSITION that remains 5 seconds in AE, but the LAYER.

    Thank you!
