    Hello,

I’m editing on Premiere Pro CS4 and I’m trying to change the aspect ratio of a clip. I usually edit in Sony Vegas and in Vegas, all you have to do is click the Pan/Crop button and at the top of the Pan/Crop window, you can choose which aspect ratio you want your video clip to be (4:3, 16:9, etc.).

How do I change the aspect ratio of a clip?

    Thanks!

You can do this a few ways. but the quickest and easiest is probably…

Add a ‘motion’ effect to the clip.

go into the effects settings and ‘distort’ the clip to your desired ratio from there.

You can also of course choose the project’s ratio standard when starting a new project.
