Additional Compositing for Pins – Reflections/Caustics
Doing a bit compositing here and got some feedback saying that it didn’t look real enough and the vfx was obvious. I have been tasked with replacing and tracking designs on campaign buttons so I can swap out different candidates for a political spot. So far I’ve done a bit of grain matching and values to the original footage and added some reflection to give it some realism. Small camera blur for catering the lens softness too. I’m no master compositor, so I’m not sure how to achieve the wrapping of the design around the edges of the pin. Maybe a mesh warp? Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!
