  Adding Xpress Pro HD

  Hey Everyone,

  I’ve been bouncing around these boards looking for some answers and have found just more questions. I am currently running Final Cut my G5 2.3 Dual, 3GB RAM, using AJA ioLa. That’s my home suite. Most of my external clients run Avid and I spend most my days on their equipment. I prefer Avid over FCP, but for the cost, I went with FCP.

  Now that I’m seeing Avid become more competitive, I’m looking to add Xpress Pro HD to my system. My issues are AJA ioLa vs. Mojo… which I’ve been told are NOT interchangable. But if I digitize through Firewire, or import from QT files, the Mojo would not be necessary. Right? Could I use the video/audio outs on my AJA ioLa to run through the monitor and mixer while running Avid??

  Additionally, I’ve seen some posts on here that claim having both on the same system created some issues. Is that common?

  Any help is completely appreciated!
