    Hello Vegas Users,

I want to add voice over work to my travel DVD’s using Vegas7 or 8. I have them both. I have the MXL909 Microphone and I’m not getting the proper input volume to the audio timeline. I was told that I need a USB or Firewire Interface with Phantom Power. This is for home use on my PC. I came up with either the Lexicon Lambda USB Desktop Studio for $149 or the Presonus FireBox for $299.95.
    I need some suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Ralph Hajik

I did voice overs just fine with the mic in but I used Audacity for better control and inserted into timeline. Worked for me.

    Ralph, save your money!!
All you need is a preamp with phantom power.
For example, Behringer has the MIC100.
List on it is $50 but B&H has it for $40.

    Hi Mike & Christopher,

    Thanks for your response.
Mike, the Behringer MIC100 ULTRAGAIN PRO – Single Channel Tube Mic Pre and Direct Box sounds like a good choice for what I want to use it for.

    Thanks Again Good Buddy,
