Adding Video (MP4, MOV etc.) into the BM Atem Switcher – will it play smoothly?
Hello,
During my live production, I would like to use video, such as the regular MOV, MP4 etc. These videos will be downloaded from Youtube. I will use Play-Back Pro or ProPresenter5 because it can handle ANY FPS and resolution, but I need video running through to the ATEM switcher, My greatest concern is when I run these videos via the ATEM switcher, that it will run choppy and unstable(because not all video is configured at the same FPS and Resolution as the ATEM switcher)

We use PlaybackPro on a MacbookPro regularly with both our ATEM ME1 flypacks and our ME2 located in our broadcast trailer. We roll commercials from the trailer.
Video playback is very smooth using PPro. Our broadcast trailer has 2 Macbook Pros for intros, transitions, and commercials, numerous Panasonic and Sony cameras, Chyron for graphics support and Newtek for instant replay. All devices run 1080i and are genlocked except for the Macs.
So based on our experience you should not have a problem at all.
