  • Adding timecode to Quicktime clips

Posted by Christopher Tay on March 15, 2007 at 3:39 pm

    Hi,

I’ve got a whole bunch of Quicktime movie clips that were converted from JPEG image sequences (rendered from 3D) and I need to assign In/Out timecode to these movie clips. Is it possible to do this in FCP itself ?

I tried to change it in the browser and in the clip setting window but somehow it wouldn’t allow me to do it.

    Appreciate any suggestions.

under the Mdify menu you will see “Timecode…”

select the clip, choose Modify > Timecode and put in the info you need … either the timecode for the media start, or the timecode for the current frame (and the start timecode will be calculated automatically)

Thanks Andy…somehow I completely forgotten about this feature ! I actually knew about this and told someone else before…I guess my brain wasn’t working when I posted the message.

    It worked great…thanks again !
